Session Topic? Literature and Cultural Identity
The project between the Polish Australian Chamber of Commerce and the University of Lodz (SON II) is built around several key elements: creating social impact through meaningful engagement with the arts, fostering aesthetic sensitivity as an important tool for communication within the community, and responding to a need for professional guidance in Polish language and cultural education among the growing Polish Australian community.
This initiative is the first of its kind in Australia and Poland, designed to promote the Polish language through literature while strengthening awareness of Polish literary heritage. By introducing participants to Polish writers, texts, and cultural traditions, the program supports the development of linguistic skills and encourages a deeper understanding of Polish identity and heritage within the Australian context.
